Country Bank Supports Salvation Army with a $10,000 Donation

Posted on December 24, 2020

Country Bank, a full-service financial institution serving central and western Massachusetts recently donated $10,000 to the Salvation Army as part of its “Season of Giving Campaign”. This year, the needs are greater than ever; statewide, The Salvation Army has seen requests increase significantly and anticipates serving up to 155% more people with holiday assistance.

“These partnerships are critical to our organization and have proven to be essential as we navigate through this environment together. In 2020, The Salvation Army has provided more than 14 million meals to people who have been affected by the pandemic. Our public and private partnerships include the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, and the Governor’s Office Feeding Task Force, in which The Salvation Army is a lead agency. The partnerships between The Salvation Army, Country Bank, and others were critical in assisting us in providing shelf-stable food products for COVID+ households across the Commonwealth. We thank Country Bank for their tremendous support,” stated Wil Leslie, Service Extension Director, Massachusetts Division.

In addition to this donation, Country Bank launched a campaign to donate $5 to The Salvation Army for every customer that enrolls in eStatements during the month of December. To find out more about this initiative visit “The pandemic has not been easy, and it has certainly placed a strain on our local communities.
