Ware, MA  – Country Bank’s Employee Charitable Giving (ECG) program recently donated $26,000 to the Jimmy Fund. The ECG program has raised more than $168,000 to support the Jimmy Fund since 2006.  Country Bank had a record breaking year as they exceeded their fundraising goal of $25,000 and also took home first place in the corporate team challenge. Eric Devine, Bonnie Trudeau-Wood and Jeremy Toussaint, Team Captains for Country Bank lead the team with fund raising activities to help them exceed their goal.

Employees donated raffle baskets for the staff to take chances on, paid to wear jeans on casual Fridays, ran a bus trip and joined the online fund raising team to reach this level of support, along with a very generous matching donation from Country Bank. “I am in awe of the commitment from the team at Country Bank and their support of this great charity year after year. We are very proud to be the coaches for this team and know that our efforts make a difference. We really hit a grand slam again this year!” stated Bonnie Trudeau-Wood, Chair of the Employee Charitable Giving Program and Jimmy Fund Coach for Country Bank.

Two members from the Country Bank team have also been invited to the Fenway Fantasy Day on Saturday, June 1st for batting practice at the Green Monster.

Country Bank was recently proud to present the YWCA Central Massachusetts a donation of $25,000 to support the organizations 7.5 million dollar capital campaign. The donation will help with building improvements which will allow them to meet the expanding needs of the community in a more modern and welcoming facility.

“The YWCA Central Massachusetts is extremely grateful for the generous support of Country Bank to help transform the YWCA Headquarters at 1 Salem Square in Worcester to meet the current needs of our participants better, while increasing safety, security, access and a more welcoming inclusive space in the revitalization of our City!” stated Linda Cavaioli, Executive Director at YWCA.

For more than 125 years, the YWCA Central Massachusetts has served as a life-long positive force for women and girls, their families and communities. By leveraging the reach, power and passion of their members and supporters, they have created lasting change. The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

“We are honored to support the YWCA and the essential services they provide to the Worcester community. Their work aligns directly with Country Bank’s mission to help make difference in the lives of others.” stated Paul Scully, President and CEO at Country Bank.

Did you know that Country Bank helped more than 100 small businesses last year just like you? Our small business banking professionals understand that your business is your pride and joy and that calls for a partnership not just a bank. Your banking partner needs to understand your unique needs and find just the right loan or business banking services to help you and your business grow.

Country Bank is proud to partner with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to help small business owners every day with their dream of starting or growing their business. The SBA works with community development organizations and lending institutions to make is easier for small businesses to get the loans they need when they need them. Some of the benefits of an SBA loan are that they offer a competitive term, counseling, education and unique benefits which include lower down payments, flexible overhead requirements and no collateral needed for some types of loans.

Loans that are guaranteed by the SBA can range from a small loan of $500 or a larger loan up to $5.5 million and can be used for business purposes to include long-term fixed assets like furniture, machinery, construction equipment or remodeling and operating capital for seasonal financing or to refinance business debt. Let me note here that some loan programs set restrictions on how you can use these funds, but don’t worry we will be there every step of the way to guide you through the process.

A recent customer commented on how much he appreciated the time and personal attention that our business banking professionals provided throughout the loan process. All of our small business team members work hand-in-hand with customers to guide them from loan application to closing and beyond. Whether you need additional funding for a renovation or a line of credit to support your businesses working capital, they will be there to assist you with your questions and guide with the next steps in the process.

With over 168 years of experience under our belts, we know how to lend more than a neighborly hand when it comes to turning your dream into a growing business. Our partnerships thrive off of robust product offerings, community relationships and know how to listen to what you need, when you need it.
