I have been in the lending business for the last 20 years more specifically mortgage lending.
My advice would be to meet with a local lender and create a relationship with that Loan Officer. For the most part, the majority of the loan products are similar with all lenders and rates are pretty much standard amongst lenders as well… the individual Loan Officer will set themselves apart from their competition. It is all about being able to trust the person and the organization that you choose to do business with.
I once skydived and bungee jumped in the same day.
The best financial advice that I have received is to not over extend yourself when it comes to credit and your financial obligations. Make sure you are spending within you means.
