About Me
How long have you been in the banking/lending industry?
I have been in banking since 2003 and in commercial lending since 2005.
What’s your favorite aspect of working with local businesses or individuals?
When working with first time borrowers, I often tell them to use all resources available to them. Specifically, SBA and other agencies will often provide free services for writing a business plan, exploring new markets and/or pairing you with someone that’s already done it. Take advantage of this!
My favorite aspect of working with a local business is to actually be able to see how our Bank’s products can have a direct impact on my local market. Whether its seeing a tenant in a building we financed, a company’s vehicle driving by or seeing a product that my client made, it makes me realize the importance of what our bank does on a daily basis!
What do you find most rewarding about your role as a lender?
As a lender, I find it most rewarding to build long term relationships with my clients and being able to help them achieve their goals. I also enjoy how each deal is unique and everyday I am able to look at something new and exciting!
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work?
My favorite hobbies including cycling and skiing, but I recently started to play pickleball which is taking up a lot of my free time! One of my favorite local coffee shops is Circuit Coffee in Westfield. It is a true family run business that takes the time to know each customer and truly cares about you. Plus they roast their own beans and make an amazing latte!
How do you define success when working with customers?
Success in commercial lending is tracked on two days: the day we close the loan and the day the loan is fully repaid. The lender’s job is to find the deals that are going to get fully repaid.
