Disclosures
Loans of $2,000 or less will have a maximum term of 24 months. Loans shall be fully amortized for the term of the loan. All loans are subject to credit approval.
*Unsecured up to $15,000
** The term of the DOER Secured Z-Loan shall be no more than 5 years and the loan shall be fully amortized during such period; the minimum and maximum loan amounts available under the DOER Secured Z-Loan are $15,001 and $25,000 respectively.
Requirements of the Z-Loan
- Available to qualified customers in the DOER Z-Loan Program
- The person filing for the loan must be the homeowner
- Financing is only available for qualifying upgrades
- You must have a current electrical account in a community served by a Municipal Light Plan (MLP)
- Financing requires loan approval from a participating lender
- Recording fees required on loans that exceed $15,000
- The maximum loan amount is $25,000
Steps
- Get a home energy assessment
- Schedule a home energy assessment (HEA). HEAs can be scheduled though ENE – Sustainability or NextZero, depending on which MLP serves your community.
- Get a quote
- After the HEA, work with a contractor to get a proposal for upgrades before applying for a Z-Loan.
- Apply
- Visit www.myz-loan.com to apply for a Z-Loan. Wait for approval from a participating lender before beginning any work.
