From Statements to Sustainability: Country Bank Makes Environmental Impact for Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day this year, Country Bank launched an eStatement campaign with customers to promote environmental sustainability. For every account that switched from paper to electronic statements in April, the bank pledged to plant a tree through the Arbor Day Foundation.

Thanks to the overwhelming customer support and promotion through marketing efforts and the banking center staff, 70% of eligible accounts made the switch to eStatements in April, resulting in a $5,000 donation to the Arbor Day Foundation. This contribution will help plant 3,000 trees – enough to grow 25 thriving forests across areas in need for reforestation.

“We are incredibly proud of our customers for embracing this initiative and helping us make a real difference,” said Mary McGovern, President and CEO.  “Together, we’ve taken a meaningful step toward reducing paper waste and protecting our environment.”

Country Bank extends a heartfelt thank you to every customer who participated in the campaign and helped create a greener future by going paperless.
