Country Bank and The WooSox Foundation will bring the 2nd Annual Police vs. Fire Baseball Classic to Polar Park on Sunday, August 27, at 6 p.m., gates open at 4:30 p.m.

The proceeds of the game will go to this local Worcester-based nonprofit that is made to make a difference for children battling cancer and their families. Why Me was started in 1985 by 13-year-old Sherry Shepherd during her four year battle with cancer. In the last months of her life, Sherry became determined to do something that would have a lasting value in the community to help children with cancer. With the help of her dad, she founded the non-profit organization WHY ME, which stands for Worcester Help for Youth, Memories Everlasting.
At Country Bank, we put people and community first. It’s why we’re proud to partner with the WooSox who share our same values. By working together, we can do so much more for our community.
