Economic Impact Payments (EIPs)

Latest Update – 3/11/2021:

Country Bank is taking proactive steps to respond to the needs of individual and business customers directly affected by the pandemic, and we stand ready to help our customers get access to the government’s economic impact payments quickly, securely and safely.

You may see the direct deposit payments as pending or as provisional payments in your account before the scheduled payment date of March 17, 2021, which is the official date funds are available as per the IRS. Click here for FAQs related to EIPs

All deposits above the FDIC insurance amount are insured by the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF).

    The combination of FDIC and DIF insurance provides Country Bank customers with full deposit insurance on all their deposit accounts.

    Don’t let the name fool you, our after-hour depository service is open 24/7 (during and after-hours) for banking transactions, such as:

    • Making a Deposit
    • Transfers between Country Bank accounts
    • Payments (Loan or Safe Deposits)

    Same-day processing available:

    • Transactions placed in the depository by 3:45 p.m. on a normal business day* will be processed the same day.
    • Transactions placed after 3:45 p.m. on a normal business day* will be processed the next business day.
    Our staff will check the depository periodically throughout the day to process your transaction in a timely manner.

    *Business days are any day except Saturday, Sunday, and Federal holidays.

    SBA PPP Loans

    SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program Grant

    • Administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program offers up to $2 million in low-interest loans to small businesses and nonprofits which have been severely impacted by COVID-19.
    • At an interest rate of 3.75 percent (small businesses) and 2.75 percent (nonprofits) loans can be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that cannot be paid because of the disaster’s impact.

    Emergency Loans

    • The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce partners with the North Central Massachusetts Chamber on microloans and is now offering emergency loans of up to $20,000 to small businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19.
    • The loans, offered through its financing arm the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. are in lieu of high-interest credit cards or expensive and unregulated online lenders.
    • The NCMDC still offers its regular loans of up to $150,000, although those take longer to approve.
    • To qualify for the emergency loan, businesses must provide two years of tax returns and demonstrate a direct financial impact of coronavirus on the business.
